How to dispose of medical masks

Disposable Medical masks have become an indispensable protective equipment in our daily lives. They not only help us resist the invasion of viruses, but also become the guardians of medical staff and volunteers. Proper handling and disposal of used medical masks is crucial to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others.

Wash your hands first. Before handling used medical masks, wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds to avoid spreading any bacteria or viruses elsewhere. Remove the ear loops. Take the mask off from your ears, avoiding contact with any contaminated parts. Dispose of the mask in the trash can. Put the used mask directly into the trash can, not on public places, streets, or other people's yards. Pay attention to recycling. Some places may require used masks to be put into specific trash bags or handled through specific recycling procedures. Make sure you know the local regulations and follow them accordingly.
